Weddings are filled with traditional aspects no matter where you are in the world. Some are still being practiced per tradition or since every one else is doing it. Traditions are designed back in the day by people who lived in that era, obviously they were lesser civilized than the modern society and had no clue of what the modern society would be.

So, it would be un-wise to accept all of these old traditions blindly in the modern day. A Quora user asked a question, what wedding tradition would fellow Quora users would not like to participate and why in relation to it. There were a lot of responses, backed up by logical reasons as to why no one should be doing them in the first place. Some of those responses were through their own personal experience, while others were things they have observed. There are certain positive things that are added by tradition, but most of those practices are expired for an advanced modern society.

Weddings will always end up to be stressed and messy almost all the time. With time, these traditions should evolve as the human society does as well.
