This is a very striking and a very amazing collection of photos which were captured by the very talented photographer Joseph Szabo. This began in the 1970s when Szabo was appointed as a teacher at a high school located in Long Island. He was amazed by the students and how they were. The rebellious culture was a very popular thing among students.
Even though the rebellious culture did not have a very healthy relationship with teachers, Szabo found a way to be more acquainted with his students. His love for photography and interest in the youth culture made him use his photography skills on his students and capture their lifestyle. This made students to be more receptive and hospitable towards their teacher. These pictures that he collected have appeared on many accomplished magazine covers and also have inspired some movie makers in their productions as well. You can visit Szabo’s website to view more of his work, since he documented more of the society due to his keen interest in diverse social cultures. This collection offers a peek at the High school culture back in the 70s in different events in their day to day lives. There are books of him on amazon Almost Grown and Teenage, which will give you more insight of this era of time if you are interested in his work.
