Modern humans are the latest result of a great process in evolution. Humans have been evolving for millions of years and more if you trace it back to the first land creature. Along the way, there have been so many changes made anatomically, psychologically, and almost in every aspect. If you take a look at your face today, that is not the structure that humans had a few thousand years back. Evolution has sculpted humans along its way.
Meet Oscar Nilsson who is a Swedish archeologist and sculptor who is fascinated with human evolution. He has sculptured a set of historical and pre-historical human figures by hand. He has used excavated human bones as a reference for the structure of his creation.
His creativity was backed up by science. With being able to refer to real bone and other scientific approaches to study the human anatomy of those specific humans, he has been able to create some amazing sculptures.
Nilsson has explained to My Modern Met that there are several features that the modern anatomy of humans has smoothen off of what the anatomy was before. He has included all those details in his sculptures. If you visit his website, which is linked below; you might find these creations with very carefully designed structure, skin texture, hair, and everything Nilsson could scientifically study.
It is really fascinating to see how humans have evolved all these years to be present as the humans we are today. And this set of sculptures might be the closest to what those humans looked like since there is a lot of scientific backing put into these.
