Masks were something that people used to wear during festivities and for fun. This changed since the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic. Everyone instantly went back to masks as something mandatory. At first, it was strange, uncomfortable since no one wore masks on a daily basis. But now, since it is a daily thing, masks are too considered as an element of fashion. Many artists have been designing their masks and some are even being sold.
This article is about a mask that is not necessarily a mask to be worn to protect yourself from the pandemic. It is more of a fashion element, so wearing any other masks other than the ones which are approved by the health care authorities might risk your health. In light of that, let’s all enjoy the artistry and the craftsmanship of Dmitriy Bragin.
He has designed a line of masks that are made by morphing industrial components such as wheels and cogs together into the mask. It takes a steampunk look when all these metallic mechanical pieces are used in its making. And when some person wears it, they will absolutely come out with a ‘cyborg’ look that is so cool and sometimes intimidating as well.
If you are not familiar with the term ‘Steampunk’, it originated with the industrialized styles that have roots of the 19th-century industrial revolution. Almost every industry was introduced with mechanical and industrial enhancements which boomed every industry it touched. So, the usage of mechanical things or taking their looks can be referred to as ‘Steampunk’.
Since masks were the talk of these recent years, it’s so thoughtful of this artist to create a set of masks that can be used as an element of fashion as well. A lot of people were amazed by Dmitriy’s designing and these masks have been put upon his Etsy account as well.
