Hair is something that has a large part in our appearance, which plays a big role in creating and maintaining our identity but this article is about something not very commonly found.
Redheads, this name refers to people who have fiery red hair. Even though almost everyone knows and has seen redheads, the chance of having red hair is 2% of the population. This type of hair is a result of the recessive Mc1r gene in both parents. Even though that is the case, the chances of a redheaded baby are low as 25%, even if the recessive genes are available.
This photographer who does photography internationally in the entertainment industry Brian Dowling has done a photo shoot on Redheads across many countries. He traveled to around 20 countries, in which he did around 130 portraits of redheaded women. Interestingly, a high number of redheads were found in Iceland and Scotland than in any other country in the world.
He is releasing these pictures in a photo book, which is titled redhead beauty. It is really interesting since this shoot was done with no makeup, or any photo manipulations are done. The idea of this photo collection is to present the redhead community with the beauty they behold; with their red hair, pale skin, freckles, and every other aspect that makes them beautiful. These pictures are absolutely beautiful and it represents the redhead community of the world, while explaining how rare and special that this condition is. Dowling did this to disprove the stereotypical look at the redheads worldwide.
