Fashion has evolved a lot since its arrival in society. There were different eras of society and with them, there were different styles of fashion during those times. Headdresses were a famous hairstyling technique back in the day which is not practiced in modern-day fashion.
This is about two creative artists who have brought back that fashion is a very uncommon medium. Headdresses were common during the ‘Baroque & the Rococo’ period. Being inspired by that era of fashion, Asya Kozina and Dmitriy Kozin who are two talented Russian artists create headdresses. The speciality about their creations is that they are very complicated and intricate, but most importantly, they are made out of completely paper.
These accessories are heavily designed, layered, and they consist of many complicated elements such as flowers, ships, aircrafts, and even palaces. With a huge amount of planning and designing, it takes about one week for this artist duo to create one headdress completely.
These amazing creations have captured a lot of attention and they are categorized as fine art and also as wearable art. They have gained a huge amount of popularity which exposed them to the fashion industry. This led them to dress models in their headdresses at a runaway event by Dolce & Gabbana in 2019.
Now their work is world renown. They continue to create their complicated paper art which is very sensitive to the medium they use. Their artistic ability is appreciated by many fashion companies that work with them. Most of their artwork is inspired by historical stories, folklore, and things that are embedded with the history of fashion.
