Photography has changed the way how people look at the world history. It has the ability to document a moment of time exactly as it is. Beafore the modern technology in photography arrived there were only monochromatic, black and white photos.
With the modern editing software, we are now able to colorize the black and white photos taken in the past. This skilfull artist from Australia is Jane Long and she has a set of interesting edits of past photos. One of her special collections is Dancing with Costica . This is a series of edited photos of a Romanian photographer who photographed the war; Costica Acsinte. Even though you have seen other colorized photos that were edited, this has a bit of an extra element.
Long has colorized and also edited them into fantasy-like eerie scenes with her creativity. Unlike the settings and the scenes in that era, she has placed these subjects in very amaing places and rendered the edit so cleverly that you might not find that they are imported from a different picture.
The reason for creating such magical worlds for these subjects in these photos is that, this photographer has seen enough colorization on old photos and she wanted to do more. Captured in the time of the second world war, these are some historical photos which were found in th earchives of flickr.
How ever the artist has done her awesome edit in a flawless manner and taken us to a magical world of their own photos. Scroll down to check it out and rank your favorite. You can share your ideas with us in the comments section.
