Photography is an art where the photographer documents their subject in very aesthetically artistic perspectives. This is why photography has turned into a very explosive industry since there are billions and billions of things, their combinations, different situations, and an infinite amount of perspectives. If a photographer wants to view things from their own artistic perspective, there are infinite possibilities in the world for them.
This is why this photo collection which is listed below this article becomes very interesting. Sandy Major is a travel photographer who has created her own style of viewing the world when she is traveling the world. This Lebanese-American photographer who lives in DC captures the view from open doors and windows to capture the perspective that is offered from that ‘window’ she is presented with. She named this series of photos as; “An Open View”.
She presents these doors and windows as portals to view the world in different places and countries. This uniform style of photographing the world has made her collection of photos set to a unique theme. Even though the view through these photos does not capture any typical scenes that you expect in a travel photo, it gives you a different flavor of each country and its culture.
Sandy’s pictures managed to get attention on social media, simply because they were different. She did not capture any famous monument or and wide shots to include as much as possible into the photo. But she saw everything that specific place stood for, through doors and windows. This is what a proper photographer can do, they can get a limited opportunity but they will always present it through an artistic perspective.
